How to use this time studio

Ten interactive games and activities provide 50 tasks. Five thinking sets add 25 more tasks, alongside a separate 20-question quiz. Tap answers inside the question frame. The audio controls sit above it so the question remains clear.

Previous and Next move between tasks. Reset Task clears one task. Reset Set clears five tasks. Progress stays while this page is open. The timer and End Quiz control remain inside the quiz section.

The calendars show their month and year and use Monday as the first column. Read the displayed calendar rather than assuming every month starts on the same weekday. Day-step questions count the gaps between dates, excluding the starting date. Clock practice uses exact whole hours; teal is the minute hand and purple is the hour hand.

These are original chapter-based questions. Seasons and vacation schedules vary by place. A snowy winter illustration does not mean every place gets snow. Maps here explicitly have North at the top. Map arrows describe compass directions, not the traveller’s body-relative left and right.

NCERT Class 2 Maths Chapter 9 Which Season Is It

This Which Season Is It Class 2 worksheet supports Chapter 9 of NCERT Joyful Mathematics. It connects seasons, calendars, duration, everyday routines, whole-hour clocks and directions. The interactive questions are original practice rather than copied textbook exercise answers.

Seasons worksheet for Class 2

Children explore spring, summer, the rainy season, autumn and winter through weather clues. They choose suitable clothes and useful items for a stated situation. A warm coat can suit cold conditions, while a raincoat helps in falling rain. Local weather matters more than assuming that a month has identical conditions everywhere.

Days of the week worksheet

A week contains seven days. Practise ordering Monday to Sunday, then continuing from Sunday to Monday. Yesterday means one day before today. Tomorrow means one day after today. If today is Wednesday, yesterday was Tuesday and tomorrow is Thursday.

Months of the year and calendar worksheets

A year has twelve months. January starts the month sequence and December ends it. A calendar places each date under a weekday heading. Children locate dates, find all occurrences of a weekday and mark a short visit on a displayed calendar.

How many days are in each month

January, March, May, July, August, October and December have 31 days. April, June, September and November have 30 days. February has 28 days in a common year and 29 days in a leap year. The activities use clearly labelled years so the February answers are unambiguous.

Clock worksheets for Class 2

The shorter hour hand shows the hour. The longer minute hand points to 12 at an exact whole hour. To show 7 o’clock, place the hour hand at 7 and the minute hand at 12. Children tap numbers directly on the interactive clock face to practise setting times.

Measurement of time and duration

Choose a time unit that suits the situation. A blink is brief, a lesson lasts minutes, a journey can last hours and a visit can span days. Estimates can vary, so read the example. To find the duration from 8 to 11 in the morning, count three hour steps rather than four clock labels.

Calendar word problems and day steps

Moving from the 6th to the 10th of the same month takes four day steps. Counting both named dates as steps would give a different result. This studio states the day-step convention clearly. For real travel planning, also check departure and return times.

Directions and map reading for Class 2

On the North-up maps used here, North is up, East is right, South is down and West is left. Children follow a short sequence of movements and undo a step when needed. Body-relative left and right depend on the way a person faces, while compass directions remain fixed.

Thinking questions with explanations

Reasoning tasks ask children to compare statements, correct a robot’s mistakes and explain time relationships. For example, a meeting seven days after Tuesday is again on Tuesday. A birthday keeps its calendar date but may fall on a different weekday in another year.

A practical activity at home

Look at a real family calendar together. Find today, yesterday, tomorrow and the next occurrence of today’s weekday. Mark one family event. Then set a toy clock to an exact hour and ask the child to explain the two hands. Talk about the weather actually experienced in your area.
